"I use Clearboard almost daily for keeping copies of my program development notes and designs." -- Mike Trotman, Datalucid Limited

ClearBoard in action

  1. Download your images from your camera to a folder. Consult the manual of your digital camera for details.

  2. Click the Open button (the first button) on the toolbar and select an image file of your whiteboard.

  3. The application automatically detects the border of your whiteboard and highlights the border with a big red square with a small square at each of the four corners.

  4. (Optional) You can adjust the selection by clicking and dragging one of the squares at the corners of the whiteboard.

  5. Click the Clean button on the toolbar to clean your image. A progress bar will pop up showing you the progress. Depending on the speed of your processor, it may take somewhere between a few seconds and up to a minute to clean an image. For example, on a PII300 Mhz laptop with 128 Mb, it usually takes around 20-30 seconds to clean an image with the size of 1024x768 pixels.

  6. (Optional) You may wish to undo the clean by clicking the Undo button on the toolbar.

  7. When you are happy with the results, you may choose to save the image, or copy the image to other applications, or print the image. To save an image, simply click the Save icon. To copy an image, click the Edit menu and select Copy. You can then paste the image to other applications such as word processors. To print the image, just click the Printer icon.
